Hibiscus Flowers

My last card for the day...a nice fresh summery birthday card. I love these hibiscus stamps and don't use them enough. I made my background yesterday using watered down DI's Spiced Marmalade & Peacock Feathers. I then stamped my flowers with full strength Spiced Marmalade, die cut a happy with my new Tim Holtz dies, then stamped a birthday. I finished it off with some little gems I acquired somewhere along the way. I'm adding my card to the latest Feeling Sketchy challenge and Stamp Ink Paper who want anything but Christmas.

White Christmas

Well I don't really do 'snow' or 'white Christmas' as I live in tropical northern Australia but when I checked out the latest challenge at Cards in Envy and saw their theme was 'Let it Snow' I thought of a new die I had gotten for Christmas that I could use. So again, I had this background on my desk that I had made a while ago (hence the pink dots in the corner) that I could use to make the sky. I intended to do white dots with my Pentel White Marker for snow but as I was shaking it up, little splatters of white came out on my scratch pad...perfect! So I just shook it a bit more over my card to give my sky some snow flakes. Nice and easy and CAS....I love that for Christmas cards and I'm off and running for my Christmas stash already! I'm also entering my card over at Watercooler Wednesday.

Happy Birthday

Another card for my wet Tuesday, again I have used a master board that has been sitting on my desk for a while, so that determined my colours. I picked out the browns for my text as I have a young male birthday coming up soon so wanted it to be male orientated. I'm entering my card into the latest challenge of Sunday Stamps and Stamp Ink Paper who want anything but Christmas. Well, that's it for me today....thanks for stopping by.

Seasons Greetings

Hi All, I hope you had a lovely Christmas and have an exciting New Years planned. Well the wet season has finally arrived for a lot of areas in North Queensland that have been declared drought stricken and I'm happy to say we have finally received some substantial rain as well. Since I was a good girl yesterday and did a fair bit of housework and as it's still rainging here today, I thought I would head out to my craft room and play with a few of my new toys that I got from Santa. As I'm still in the Christmas mode, I thought I would make a Christmas card with one of my new die cuts. I've had some backgrounds sitting on my desk for a while now so I picked one to make my latest card. I'm adding my card to the latest challenge over at Freshly Made Sketches

Just Wanna Say....

My last card for the day and I must say, I just love it! I love the softness of the colours and all the white. I stamped some text with Tumbled Glass DI's then used brusho's to make the centre piece and die cut some flowers for my focal point. I am posting my card to the latest Tuesday Throwdown challenge. Anyway, if I don't make it back to my blog before Christmas...I hope you and your family have a very special day and all the best for 2016.

Colourful Merry Christmas

So this is my last Christmas card for 2015 I do think and I just love the CAS'ness of it. CAS has certainly turned out to be my style. I'm also adding this card to the latest challenges at CAS(E) this Sketch.Color Throwdown and Creative Moments.

Ho Ho Ho

Hi All, I'm on holidays for two weeks over the Christmas period and I'm really happy to be not working! Yesterday was some last minute Christmas shopping and baking with my beautiful daughter and today is stamping with my best bud! A great start to my time off I do think! So I had to make a card for a young male to give with his gift so I didn't want anything too soppy and I had seen Lisa's card on Pinterest (click here) and thought it would suit the recipient perfectly. I am adding my card to the latest challenges at CAS(E) this SketchColor Throwdown & Creative Moments.

just because...

I wasn't feeling well today so I had a day off work but late this afternoon I had a little play in my craft room. I had this background sitting on my desk that I had made previously using my Brusho's. I just love the randomness of the Brusho's and they are a statement in themselves so I used the latest sketch from the DT at CAS(E) this Sketch for inspiration. Thanks for popping in....
