For my design I am playing along with the Craft's Meow sketch and over at Allsorts Challenge Blog they want 'Things with Wings' and Less Is More  wants 'Up in the Air'. thoughts of you flutter by...

Hi Peeps...well this is my last card for the day and it was nice to do flowers and butterflies after making 3 male cards. For this card I have used the latest sketch over on CAS(E) this Sketch...I am really liking their sketches!! For colour I have used the latest combo from Stampin' Royalty...nice bright summery colours, very pretty. Well, that's it for me, thanks for stopping by...have a great Saturday.

Royal Flush...Happy Birthday

Wow!! Here I am posting my third 'male' card for the day!! You are lucky to get one a month out of me...lol...I must admit I had the workings for this one a few weeks ago but didn't get it made or posted before the challenge closed but luckily for me there is a new challenge site called Cards In Envy that had a sketch that suited the cards I wanted to use. I am so pleased with myself..I have had these cards for so long but not got around to using them so now I can finally say I have...woohoo!! The colour combo I have used is black and white plus 1 which is the challenge over on CAS-ual Fridays which is what I had originally planned for this card too so it has all finally fallen into place. Once again..thanks for stopping by, until next time, happy stamping.

It's Time to Celebrate

Hi Stampers, its been a couple of weeks since I posted my last card and it feels good to be sitting at my desk. Last week I was away all week with work and didn't get home until late Friday night so I was very tired over the weekend and just had no motivation to sit down and create. But I have recharged my batteries so here I am!! Todays card I have made for a local craft store. I had been asked a while ago if I would like to make some cards for the store and it has finally happened. For this card I have used two new tri-boss embossing folders from the Chronology theme - clocks & cogs. I embossed the card then brayered them with Stormy Sky Distress Ink. I then used my Spellbinder Picot Edge circles to make some cogs. For design I have used the latest sketch over on Seize the Birthday and for colour inspiration I have used the colour scheme from Just Add Ink. Thanks for stopping by...

You are 5!!

I was surfing this morning and I came across Christina's birthday card she had made and I loved it!!  Make sure you check it out here. It is so hard (well I find it hard) to make kids cards and I just loved the simplicity of this card that I just had to make one. I must admit I struggled with all the pink..and am still struggling...lol...but I keep telling myself my niece will love it and that is what counts the most. I cannot believe our little Kacee Grace is 5 this month and this means she is starting school..where have the years gone?? I know where they have gone for me because not long after she was born I started working full time!! But I also know her mother is looking forward to school as Kacee can be a bit of a terror (like her mother was..lol..) but we all just love her to bits anyway.
I also have a confession to make...it wasn't until I went to post my card that I had this doubt about her age so I had to stop and ask my daughter how old she is this year (sadly forgetfulness is showing my age...lol..) which she promptly told me 5!! ooops...I had made a 4 card but the beauty of this card was pull the panel apart and move the contrasting card across to 5!! Fixed!! <grin> Another confession I have to make too is that even though it is a simple card hubby & I spent an hour working out sizing and position of the numbers on my Cricut because sadly there are long gaps in between using it and I don't have the patience to read directions hence the hubbys help. lol!!
Once the numbers were done...simple as. Anyway, thanks for stopping by and I hope your week goes well. Until next time, happy stamping.

Anchor nor Guiding Light

Hi Stampers, I'm back with my second card for the day...I didn't start out to make a Fathers Day card but I felt the verse suited it so now I am all organised for Fathers Day in September!! lol!!
Considering it is February already, September will be here before we know it!!
Over on Just Add Ink they want a shape card and I thought this pennant shape card suited the latest Mojo Monday design and the ladies at Diva's by Design wanted a colour combo of Blue, Brown & Cream which I thought suited a male card...so voila!! I have my card!! As always thanks for stopping by...

Lots of Love

Hi Stampers...it feels like ages since I have sat at my craft desk. We had Australia Day celebrations last Saturday where friends and family came over for an Aussie sausage sizzle with games and swimming. Then on Sunday where I had plans to do a bit of stamping that never happened as we lost power for nearly 4 hours smack bang in the hottest part of the day!! No fans or air conditioning on one of our hottest summer days just made it too unbearable to be inside, so we spent most of the time in the swimming pool. Then even though we had a public holiday on Monday I still didn't get any free time as I had housework and ironing to do before school started back for 2013 the next day and I was back to work and on top of all that we lost our phone lines & internet for about 36 hours due to all the flooding that has been happening which meant I couldn't get on and surf my favourite challenge sites. But....I am not really complaining (even though it sounds like I am lol) because if you have seen the news lately you would have seen all the flooding that has been and is still happening along the coast of Queensland where many houses have been destroyed. We received a lot of the same rain but as we are higher up the coast of Queensland we didn't get as much because as the low moved down the coast it intensified. Our thoughts are with our fellow Aussies...stay safe!
So anyway....back to my card....I have made this card using the latest sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch and the colour combo is the latest challenge at The Play Date Cafe. I have made the background for the panel with my Mustard Seed & Peeled Paint Distress Inks then stamped some flourishes and finished it off with a spray of Perfect Pearls mist. Thanks for stopping by...
