Elegant Princess..

This card has taken me most of the day but I can happily say that there is definitely lots of stamping on this card!! I find sometimes by the time you have finished your card there is not a lot of stamping on it but this is not the case for this one and I even have some pics to show you what I did...my first ever tutorial!! LOL!!

Firstly I coloured my background card using Distress Inks - Peeled Paint and Weathered Wood to fit in with the latest colour challenge over at Just Us Girls. I then sprayed it with some Perfect Pearls Mists - Perfect Pearl and dried that off with my heat gun.
Now I really liked the background pattern on the sketch I used which is over at The Paper Craft Crew so this got me thinking and I decided to make my own, to do this I used one of the stamps out of the KaiserCraft 'Botanical Odyssey' set and stamped it with my Jet Black Stayzon Ink.
Voila!! I have my background card which I am really happy with!! I must also admit I am not a 'crown' sort of person but you tend to get all these different stamps that you might not buy but they come in stamping sets and end up just sitting there so I decided to do something outside of the square and use them and there you have it...my latest card. I am also adding this to the latest challenge over on Alota Rubber Stamps where they want you to make your own background and over at Just Add Ink who are having a blog hop and want you to use a Big Shot or something similar. I hope you like it and I am sorry to say my Stamp Camp is coming to the end. My last stamping bud is about to go home...back to reality...but it's not all bad as I am going out with my hubby for dinner and a movie as we will both be away at different times this week so won't really see each other until next Saturday. So I hope the rest of your weekend goes well and hopefully I will be back next week sometime...until then, Happy Stamping!!

Card Sketch

Glittery Flowers

I made this card last night but didn't get a chance to post it....over on still addINKtive they have a sketch and a colour challenge. I quite liked the sketch example and had a similar stamp which I hadn't used for a long time so I thought I would literally make a card like the sketch. Hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Floral Haze

Well I'm back with another card before I call it a night....I have made my card by using the latest sketch over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday and I am joining the girls over at Just Add Ink where they want you to use a Big Shot or something similar. My flower panel was used by inking a new stamp up with two colours then I sprayed it with Perfect Pearl Mist which gives it a bit of a shimmer. I seem to be having a real 'butterfly' thing happening at the moment...lucky I like butterflies...lol. Thanks for stopping by and I will definitely be back tomorrow, see you then.

Happy Birthday Birds

Hi All, I'm here with my first card for our little Stamp Camp that's happening this weekend. Today my sister in-law came over for an afternoon of stamping, my best bud Robyn is here for the whole weekend!! woohoo!! Tomorrow my other good friend will be here for Saturday & Sunday too and hopefully my sister in-law will be able to sneak back for some fun times tomorrow so it's a fun fun weekend all round.
Anyway, back to my card since that is what we are really here for lol. For this card I have used the latest sketch over at CAS(E) this Sketch and I have made my background with my Distress Inks using the colour scheme over at The Paper Players and over on Just Add Ink they want you to use your Big Shot or something similar. As always, thanks for stopping by...

No one like you!

ok ok ok...I know I'm not supposed to be back today and I shouldn't be, because I haven't done much housework which is what I was supposed to be doing but I really wanted to do the sketch over at Cas(E) this Sketch I just love the simplicity of it. So after I've had a little nap (I told you I haven't done much housework lol) I have snuck out to My Third to whip up this card. I knew what I was going to do so it didn't take long. I also used the latest colour combo over on Dynamic Duos..I really like the soft colours. Now I am going to jump in the pool for a quick cool off then go and make dinner then jump in the pool to cool off again then the hubby & I have two cars to wash, then probably jump in the pool again (if you can't tell it is very hot here at the moment)...so I really am going this time. As always, thanks for stopping by...until next time, happy stamping.

Age is the work of Art

I am back with another card...there is a new challenge blog called 'Seize the Birthday' where we are making a female card with the latest sketch for the first week and then the following week using the same sketch you make a male card. I am really excited because I struggle to make male cards so this will give me that push to make them..thanks Lesley...this will be fun!! Make sure you pop on over and check it. I have made this card for my neighbours upcoming 60th birthday and I have used the latest Dynamic Duos colour scheme which is nice and soft...Saffron & Celery...very pretty.
Well I am off to do a bit of housework...big sigh...I start work tomorrow after having 4 weeks off so I have to start getting into the work mode, something that I really don't want to do but oh well...we do what we have to do. Hope your weekend is going well...until next time, happy stamping and as always, thanks for stopping by.

Friends

I finished this card a couple of days ago but haven't had time to post it but have finally found a bit so I can do it. For this card I used the latest sketch over on Fab Friday...once again, I used my distress inks to make the background and some new stamps from Crafty Individuals. Well, sadly I am back at work tomorrow so I won't be posting cards quite as regularly as I have been...oh well I have to go back to work to earn some money to buy more stamps (well that's what I tell myself, don't think my hubby would agree..lol). Anyway have a good Sunday and thanks for stopping by.

With Love

Well I'm back with another card for the day...sadly my stamping buddy's have had to go home to their 'regular' lives....as my desktop image says, I would rather be stamping but life keeps getting in the way! Ain't that the truth!! For this card I have used the latest sketch over at Try Stampin' on Tuesday, over on Scrapbook Boutique they have a colour challenge and at The Paper Players..Love is in the Air...make sure you pop on over to check them out. I bought a few new spellbinders the other week and they turned up today so I was able to use my new Fantastic Flourish One on this card..I can see it becoming a definite favourite. I am really liking my cards at the moment a lot of white with just a bit of colour...but as always our style just keeps evolving which makes it all the more fun. Once again, thanks for stopping by.

To Someone Special

Happy day today!! I am stamping with good friend Robyn & my sister in-law Vikki in my amazing craft room!! This is exactly what I wanted when I designed my room...stamping together with my friends and family...life is good. So today's card was inspired by Debby's absolutely stunning card..check it out here. As I've said before, I like black & white with a dash of another colour so I am posting another card over on Less is More because that's what they want this week. As always thanks for stopping by...

Butterflies & Blooms

Hi Stampers...I am back with another card. I have had a good morning stamping with my best bud who is in town for a few weeks before the move onto Rockhampton...then we will be stamping & skyping on Saturdays again. I really liked the card Kasia made over on Retro Sketches and I really like the colour combo over at Dynamic Duos (my second card for this colour combo) so for this card I have inked my background with my Distress Inks using a die shape to create the shape of the image. I then punched out my flowers with a Martha Stewart flower border punch and softly inked the edges with the same Distress Ink...the butterflies are also a Martha Stewart punch. CAS....love it!! As always thanks for stopping by...

Snowflakes - Christmas Card

Hi Peeps, well I was surfing the challenge blogs looking for some inspiration when I stopped at Merry Monday for a peep. This week it is a colour challenge to use to make a Christmas card with. Well I don't know about you but I wasn't really in the mood to make a Christmas card but while I was checking out all the lovely creations that had already been made I noticed Deanna's card and really liked it so it got me inspired to make one based on her design. Thanks for the inspiration Deanna and I even made two so I am off to a flying start for Christmas 2013!! ;-)

'with love' with a splash of colour

Hi Stampers, I am back with another CAS card for the day...I have used the colour challenge over on Less is More again, black & white with a splash of colour, one of my favourite colour combos. Over on Unscripted Sketches, (my first time playing) they have a new sketch to try and over at The Paper Players 'Love is in the Air' & over at Flourishes it's all about Love too.  I kept my card CAS because I will be giving it to my hubby for Valentines day and he likes CAS. Well that's it for me today but I will be back tomorrow...until then...happy stamping.
