Creatively Yours Sketch

Hi Stampers, today I came across this 'old' sketch from the Creatively Yours blog. I wanted to make a card for a work collegue who retired today and I thought this would do nicely. The recipient is a male which is why I have used the olive & grey cardstock....I always struggle with male cards. Anyway, I think this has turned out quite nicely, hope you like it too. Thanks for stopping by, until next time....

Deconstructed Sketch #32

Hello Fellow Stampers, I started off doing a Less is More challenge this morning but as the card started to get too many layers for their site, I went hunting for another sketch to use. I ended up using the latest Deconstructed Sketch but turned it upside down and I also got a shot of inspiration from Olena's blog (love her cards). When I started making this card, it was going to be for my sister in-law who's birthday is in January but I ended up making the card for our niece who will be 21 in March. She is off to Europe for the holiday of a lifetime in  May and as one of her stops is Paris and as she has already started buying nick nacks of the places she is going too, I know for sure she will love the 'Eiffel Tower' on her card. I am really happy with this card, it is a lot busier than what I would usually make as I struggle with busy even though I like it when others do it. So, I hope you like it too. Until next time, happy stamping.

Mojo #221

Hi All, I am really enjoying my week off over the xmas/new year break...this is the third card I have been able to sit down and make over the last few days. I have used this weeks Mojo as inspiration for this card, I chose to do the round card as they are always a challenge for me for some reason. The colours are very different to what I normally gravitate to also but I do try to step outside the square every now and again and I think I have done it successfully with this one. I hope you like it, until next time, happy stamping!!

Simon Says Stamp 14th Dec '11

Hi Blogger Friends, I hope you and your family had a great Christmas day as my family & I did. Today we are having an easy day until we go out for a Boxing Day event with friends where there will be eating, drinking, backyard cricket, volleyball & swimming....fun for all!!
I had the urge to make a card on christmas eve when I had a little 'me' time but have only just found time now to post it. This is a sketch from Simon Says Stamp that I used. I have never participated in a SSS challenge but I think I will be doing more. I missed being able to submit my card for this challenge but here it is anyway.
Until next time, thanks for stopping by....

Mojo #220

Hi All and Season Greetings to you. I hope you are all organised for the BIG day, I was until I went to make a Mango & Passionfruit Ice Cream Cake and found my mangoes weren't ripe even though they looked it!!! Guess I am off to find some ripe mangoes later. But enough of that, this is the first time I have sat down at my desk for a couple of weeks. A classic example of how long it has been is that the first card I made was a belated birthday card for my brother in-law!!! Oh well, it is that time of year.
This card was made using the latest Mojo. When I looked at it, I thought it lent towards a 'male' card so that is what I went with using dark blues & greys with a dash of yellow. Hope you like it, until next time all the best for the Festive Season, I hope you all have a great time whatever you are doing and where ever you are.
