RobVik Challenge #2

This is my card design for RobVik Challenge #2...Robyn had been shown these colours (orange, sand, blue & navy) by another stamping friend & once again they are out of our comfort zone, so we are all for having a go!! I am happy with how it turned out and as it turned out a bit 'boyish' I think my son will get this card for his upcoming birthday. We are lucky enough to have another long weekend again this week in Australia...so for all those aussies, I hope you have a great May Day weekend. Until next time..

Happy Easter

Well our Easter/Anzac long weekend is over...I hope you have had all had a lovely Easter. In Australia we got an extra day as Easter has fallen next to Anzac Day which is a rememberance day for us aussies. Lest we forget.
I really like the mutiple square effect and I have used the black, grey and white colours to make this card. I hope you have a great week with lots of stamping....until next time.

RobVik Challenge #1

This is my card I have made for the inaugural RobVik Challenge...I was reading the CS&P magazine and they had a colour combo article and the colours were 'purple, sage & yellow'. This is not a combination I would have picked but it is always good to step outside the box every now and again. So I put it to Robyn that we have a mini 'challenge' using these colours. Robyn's card is on Mojo Monday thumbnail #70 as she combined Mojo #187 & RobVik #1 if you would like to check it out click on the Mojo Monday Blinkie.
My design is based loosely on on old Verve Sketch Design AVS202, hope you like it and happy Stamping.

Mojo Monday #186

Here is this weeks Mojo. I must admit I struggled with all the ribbon & layers but am quite happy with how it turned out. This time I picked a paper I hadn't used before so it dictated what colours the card ended up being....a bit out of my comfort zone but I am pleased with the result....what do you think?
Well that's it for me today, hope you have a great weekend.

Just saying hello

I am back using scraps again so the paper dictated what colours I was using. Because of the blue & green I decided to do a 'tropical' card. I haven't used this stamp for ages and it felt good to be using it.
Happy Stamping.

Mojo Monday #175

Here is another Mojo recipe & another card for a friend. Hopefully Andrea gets her card before she sees this post.  I have used the same pack of papers that I used for Estelle's card. Hope you like them.

Mojo Monday - Birthday Card

I made this card for my friend Estelle. It is an old Mojo recipe. The papers I used are from a nice pack of printed papers where some of the pages are flocked as well..the verse is from a Verve stamp set that I really like. Happy Stamping.

Baby Card

Good morning, I have just finished my chores, well not all, I still have ironing to do later but everything else is done, so I thought I would sit and cool down for a while which usually means in front of the computer and here I am...I realised I hadn't posted a pic of the card I made a friend for the birth of their new daughter. It is quite simple but I think it turned out nice & I know they liked it too.
Hope you are all having a great weekend.

Sending you smiles

This is todays creation...I was able to skype with Robyn this morning before she went to work & we both whipped up a card each. Robyn made one for her bosses 40th & I made this one using some of the new ribbon I bought earlier this week. This card was also made with some leftover paper which is becoming my theme lately but even so, I still haven't made much of a dent in the scrap stash!!
Have a great weekend.

Flower Punches

Every now and again I get the urge to make a card using punches. I saw a design similar to this one in a magazine and I really liked it...neat & simple. As you can see there is not too much stamping on this card but I like it. This type of card is also good for using up scraps which we all have plenty of...well I know I do!!

Alcohol Inks

Here is a card I made with Alcohol Inks. It was my first attempt of using them and I am really happy with how it turned out. I made this card for our good friends Mum. She is such a beautiful person. During the cyclones & floods that we had recently, she would ring to make sure we were all ok so, I decided to make a card to say thankyou for caring & I knew it would make her day because she loves getting one of my cards. Happy Stamping.

Mojo Monday #185

Well I had a very busy weekend last week but it didn't include any stamping sadly. But to make up for it, I am in early (for me anyway) with this weeks mojo. I stopped at Spotlight today to get some more black card that I need and of course walked out with more than just that!! After getting home and having a look at this weeks mojo some of my purchases were perfect for it....awesome!! So even though I am not feeling well with my first cold for the year, this weeks mojo & my new 'stuff' got my mojo going and here is the result.

Happy Stamping!!
